About the event

Svetlana Bekerman's expertise in bilingualism research and English teaching methodologies stems not only from her Ph.D. studies but also from over a decade of experience teaching English. Presently, she works as the coordinator at  Montessori bilingual schools in France, where she imparts English education to children aged 6 to 18. In 2020, she initiated the Montessori English online course, designed to aid parents and educators in fostering a bilingual setting. Additionally, she actively participates in both online and offline conferences. Recently, she embarked on creating textbooks and guides for educators focused on teaching English to children in a Montessori setting, ages 6 to 12.

In her presentation, Svetlana Bekerman will tell you how, when preparing for the Cambridge exam, it is possible to take an individual approach to each student using Montessori material. Using the example of using the material, she will show how a systematic approach will help in teaching English vocabulary and grammar to children from 6 to 9 years old. English teachers can use exercise ideas to prepare children for the Cambridge exam in a Montessori environment.
